Most of them are Classic Books:

The Text-and-eBook-Section of the Internet Archive is probably the largest collection of free eBooks in the web. It offers literally millions of eBooks and Texts for free. Some are only for online reading or "borrowing" (whatever that means). But there are still tons of eBooks and Texts for free download, mostly in epub or PDF.

TIP: In case of doubt prefer PDF because on average you'll find less bugs there

Just follow theese four simple Steps:

2. Cut the side-bars etc. off with a simple free Foto-Editor like XnView
3. Copy the created Pics on a Text-Document using the Free Office Suite
    LibreOffice
